FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

UpStream Network and Our Place Get Their Kicks at Annual Kickball Tournament

OAK BROOK, Illinois (May 24, 2017) —A group of associates from Oakbrook-based UpStream Network, recently teamed up with teens and young adults from Our Place of New Trier to share an afternoon of fun at its annual kickball tournament. As part of its corporate mission to engage and improve the communities it serves, UpStream Network, a new broadband platform designed specifically for the multi-family industry, chose to partner with Our Place, which offers a diverse range of programs for teens and young adults with developmental disabilities to help them with work, life skills, creative expression, fitness, and social interaction.

“We were thrilled to welcome UpStream to Our Place’s annual kickball tournament. We loved the opportunity to share our mission and show what we are all about,” said Nicole Seidlitz, Executive Director. “Our Place supports teens and adults with developmental disabilities so they can live meaningful, productive, socially connected lives in their home community. I can think of no better way to do this than by making new friends while doing something that is fun and healthy.” In addition to corporate partnerships, Our Place also hosts an annual fundraiser in the spring and 5k Race to Our Place in the fall.

“Our Place holds special meaning for me and it was a great afternoon,” said Bryan Rader, President of UpStream, whose daughter attends Our Place. “We love the idea of giving back to the communities we serve and plan to do more of these types of events in the future.”

UpStream Network launched in the Chicagoland and Southeast Florida markets in late April, with expansion to future regions expected in late 2017. For more information, visit www.upstream.network.
